Wake up at 3:00 a.m. to get some work done because the office is having a “fun” event and I need to leave at 11:45. Get ready, wake up Mary at 6:00 a.m. burning up with 101.8 fever. Looks like no fun for me. Realize I am hot too that is because the A/C isn’t running outside just the fan inside. Call the pediatrician, A/C guy and of course American Airlines because Jim wants to change his flight while I am holding a hot whiney baby. Seriously does it get better than this?
Just found out at “fun” day our receptionist dislocated her shoulder and did I mention I can’t bring Mary to daycare until she hasn’t run a fever without fever reducer for 24 hours. I guess she will be staying home with Jim and Courtney while I go to work I am not sure who will be watching who?
There is really only one answer to all of this and its ice cream and I am headed to the freezer!
