Clearly I need to call my mother more often. Every time Mary swipes a cell phone she calls Bobo – as in “hey be quiet I’m talking to Bobo”. This is her on 4th of July after getting hold of Josh’s cell phone – I didn’t know he had Bobo’s number on there I guess so.
About a week ago Lisa's blog was about Kylie wanting a little sister. I would guess after spending so much time with Mary the last 2 weeks she has decided not such a great idea. The look on her face on Courtney's birthday less than five minutes at our house says it all!
I can’t believe I have a 25 year old daughter. I am sure it sounds like a cliché but it truly doesn’t not seem that long ago that Courtney was Mary’s age. Oh what a walk in the park that was compared to Mary, sorry I am getting off subject. Courtney is the perfect example of God does not give you more than you can handle she was the easiest child ever as far as sleeping, potty training, keeping herself entertained etc. You are a wonderful daughter and big sister. We love you Courtney and hope you have a great birthday.
Jim got the boat out for the first time this year yesterday and I am happy to say it started right up (well of course Courtney charged the battery first) It is a huge relief our boat is still doing so well for being 14 years old or Jim would really have the itch for a new one. Last time he was looking (at least 10 years ago) what he wanted was about $50k I told him yesterday look at Mary his new boat was sitting right there! Like big sister she loves the lake. Roger, Lisa, Chris, Cameron & Kylie came with us (Josh was at the lake but not with us much like Saturday night at the fireworks there but not with us hum) I took over 100 pictures I haven’t even looked at Lisa’s yet!
I know a lot has happened in the world this week – three high profile deaths, a wayward senator and what is on my mind? How many days until our next trip to Disney and what do I need to do to get ready for that trip. Wow 473 days – really that is a long time!
Just in case any of you in blog land are wondering where we are on the following:
· Yes we still have the pacie only during naps, bedtime and the car
· No she is not potty trained she has about 2-3 accidents a day if I put her in panties (usually one on my bed) but she consistently poops on the potty
· Yes she still sleeps with us - we haven't even tried to change this we need to work on the upstairs first and that is a whole story or blog for a later time
Since she has been so crabby in the morning we tried something new this a.m. we tried to get her to the car asleep and then get her ready at my office (about an hour away) she woke up getting her in the car and watched Dora all the way here but she was happy when I got to the office, so better than anything I have dealt with this week.
Mary and I were on our own a good part of yesterday - note the pop tart for breakfast! She was watching Little Einstein's here in her jammies.
