Weekend in Oklahoma

On Friday Jim went to help his Dad run lines for he & Paulette’s new house. At 10:30 p.m. Friday night I get the phone call from him on his way home wanting to know what time we can be ready to go Saturday a.m.? WHAT I thought this was a one day thing? Turns out it was a 3 day thing. The biggest issue the back hoe operator running over the existing lines to Pop’s underground house and a good part of Friday and Saturday were spent fixing that. Courtney got to stay home with Hope while Mary and I headed to Oklahoma with Jim. I was ready by 9:00 but Gilligan (I mean Courtney) grabbed the wrong wire at the place and had to go back twice. Despite spraying repeatedly for ticks we still pulled some off. Sunday we pulled less off Mary and I but we spent a good part of the day in the Suburban so she could catch up on sleep and deal with the low grade fever she started running that morning. Roger also got a call Friday night and when we got there Saturday he Josh and Cameron were all digging trench. Anyway we got to bed about midnight last night (yes Mary too) so who knows how today will go. My head is itching right now I hope it’s not another tick!
