Her future is so bright she has to wear shades...

I hope so anyway.  I guess this is the wrong time to point out she wore the sunglasses upside down most of the night – I hope that means she will be a geek that goes to MIT. Courtney was nice enough to have dinner ready when we got home, meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans.  Mashed potatoes is one of Mary’s favorites but when Courtney noticed Mary wasn’t eating them Courtney asked her if they were good and Mary said “no” she definitely got the honest gene from Jim as they were pretty lumpy.

On the way home I tried something new instead of the Jungle Book DVD for the millionth time, I played Elvis and she actually clapped between songs, said more, more, more when one finished and sang Mystery Train (granted not to many words there and singing Train, Train… does not make her a Mensa candidate) but I was happy to hear music that didn’t involve a bear singing about the Bear Necessities. Tonight we are trying the Temptations, when I was pregnant she would kick when I played Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and the Temptations ( a little Bobo coming out there) never Elvis so we will see if they are still one of her favorites.

I watched a mini-series about the Temptations on VH-1 last weekend I had no idea there was so much drama behind the group and only one original member still remained, if you haven’t seen it you should rent the DVD it was quite informative but I did find out it strayed from the facts a little too.

Adorable picture of both girls. Reminds me of Courtney in her little heart shaped sunglasses when she came to Arizona, when she was 2. I have a picture of her and Grandma & Grandpa Smalling. Papa Eddie called her little Miss Hollywood.
Mary loves music and to dance. Good change in pace for you driving home.
