That is what Mary told me when I was trying to take pictures last night before bed for the book. She had a little trouble winding down to go to bed last night but did pretty well. For the first time in months Courtney Mary and I went to dinner. Eating with Mary has become quite a challenge, no highchair, no booster chair and must have a booth to trap her in. Now the people around us probably are not amused with my persistent two year old telling them “Hi” – you would be surprised how many grumpy people there are in the world. Seriously who does not find a cute little two year old telling them “Hi” worthy of saying “Hi” back is it really that hard to be human? When Courtney was around Mary’s age she would say “Hi” to people in the grocery store and one day a woman did not respond and she said “I said Hi you fartknocker” which is exactly what I want to say to the people that ignore Mary!

That is HILARIOUS! Kids say the darndest things right? ;) I am inspired to get my scrapbooking under control after seeing your pages. I think I am going to start some digital scrapbooking. I got a GC for "designer digitals" for Christmas... do you have a favorite?

Cool! Hey, Rog!!! We got a new phrase to teach Mary! If we just teach it her then she can tell the rude people off herself and save Liz the trouble. I can think of several of my Liz's favorite Brucism's that we can teach her. It would be assured people wouldn't ignore her as easily anymore. :)
Hmmm, I think Lisa and Roger taught Courtney her little phrase. I wonder what they would teach Mary.

Actually I think Daddy came up with fartknocker god knows I had never heard that one -screwball yes fartknocker no
Ben likes to tell everyone "Hi" too and it rubs me the wrong way when grumpies ignore him on purpose. He gets this confused look on his face sometimes cause he's used to nice people. Our kids are adorable, right? You know the saying "Mean people suck." Maybe Courtney needs to teach Mary a line or two. ;) One of those big sister duties.
You are right, it was her Daddy. You know, maybe it is best if the kids don't get too friendly with strangers. It's a shame, but we do have a lot of wierd people out there.
