I am totally bumming - here is the letter I wrote about one of the teachers leaving:
Dear Ms. Melissa:
My daughter Mary is a student in Infant 3 and lovingly cared for by Miss Stacey, Miss Jessica and Miss Samantha. I was very upset to learn Miss Samantha is leaving Crème, what is more upsetting is her leaving could have been prevented.
I found out when Mary started Infant 3 in October of 2007 Miss Samantha had a daughter and was curious why she wasn’t at Crème. She said she was on a waiting list but there had been no openings. She is no way complained just answered my question as to why she wasn’t there. I understand the primary reason for Miss Samantha leaving is finding a job where her daughter could be with her and she wouldn’t have to pay day care at a facility where she was not employed. I can’t help but wonder why enrolling Miss Samantha’s daughter wasn’t given higher priority than enrolling new students. Finding good employees is not easy and Crème cannot put a price on keeping an exceptional one like Miss Samantha.
By making it difficult for mothers with young children to work at Crème it is restricting itself from an entire market of employees that have a unique perspective. I know of a person who applied there with prior experience and is great with kids but couldn’t consider taking a position there because she has two toddlers. From I have observed there seems to be a lot of turnover recently and many of the new employees seem like “fillers” and not necessarily trained teachers.
I have been very happy with the Infant program. Crème has real standouts there, Miss Barb, Miss Theresia, Miss Karen, Miss Jessica, Miss Stacey and Miss Samantha. I hope special consideration is given to all of them and Crème does what it takes to keep such exceptional employees.
I am dreading April 1 more and more, so far of the 5 kids who have moved from Infant 3 to Toddler Club not one parent is happy about it. I don't want to start complaing before she goes but how can I not be worried? All of the parents are giving it a month to see if the situation improves and already looking for alternatives. If we didn't live so far away (and if I hadn't signed an agreement) I would consider trying to hire one of the Infant 3 teachers for a Nanny.
Here is one of the pages from this time last year when the Gilbreath girls came to visit come back Gilbreath girls come back.

I am so sad for you!! That is some serious stress. What kind of agreement did you sign? Can you challenge it because you are not getting what you were promised? I think hiring a nanny would be a great option!
Love, Auntie T
Maybe you are worrying too much too soon. Relax and wait to see what happens. She is close to you there and if they take good care of her and she is happy, then all is good. You will worry even more with her so far from you.
Love, Nana
It is sad they are loosing a good teacher because they don't give her daughter priority. Can't really blame her for leaving.
