Since I have been losing weight I have tried to get back into the "maintenance" part of being a woman; getting my nails done, hair highlighted and not putting my hair into a pony tail everyday. While I was pregnant I got into this mindset that no one really cared how I looked so I kind of let things go. Anyway today while I was getting my nails done I realized it had been a couple months since my last pedicure and I really would like to have one done - then I realized the stumbling block - not work - they can wait, not Mary - she is as baby school, its my legs and the lack of grooming - I can't remember the last time I shaved them. The last time I remember was the first Monday in January. Before the comments start about how "lucky" Jim is to have the "hairy woman" keep in mind this is the man who told me when I started going gray that the only thing he was concerned about was my butt getting big - the way I see it I really have one job right?
For those of you who are concerned (or grossed out) I made an appt Tuesday for a pedicure so I will have to shave my legs before then.

hey dont feel so bad the only reason my legs have seen a razor is because all my dr visits!!! I guess I care more about my legs being " nice" for a stranger over my poor dh
Ewww...To heck with Roger, that would drive ME crazy! I shave my legsnd pits every morning. But it reminds me of a girl in high school on my drill team who decided it was time to shave hers one winter day when the hair was visable to the rest of us as it stuck out through the white work out hose we had to wear.

Dad said this is way too much information for him, so he won't be commmenting. Of course, my girls always recount the story when I was in the hospital having back surgery. I was drugged, in pain, begging. "Someone please shave my legs". Bobo
Well I relate all to well to Sheila! I went pretty much all winter and pregnancy without shaving much. Once the Dr. appts got to the point of "checking my cervix" (sorry TMI) then I had to start shaving. Before Caleb was born (a week and half early) I shaved on a Thursday and had him on a Monday. I kept saying all weekend I needed to shave before I was to be induced on Valentine's Day. Well low and behold he came Monday instead so I had "hairy" legs at delivery.

I feel you. Now that Taylor is two months and we have resolved the botle issue I am getting my hair and nails done this Saturday. I looked at myself the other day and cringed. It isn't bad enough that my clothing doesn't fit...but I will not continue to have bad hair and nails.
