American Idol come on...

At the risk of sounding like one of “those parents” would it be possible to watch American Idol without anyone saying “suck” because I really don’t think my 2 year old should repeat it 5 or 6 times while listening to Kelly Clarkson sing who by the way should be a role model right? I do sound like one of those parents don’t I?

Why would you even consider Kelly Clarkson to be a role model? Hello she's a celebrity entertainer. She is probably as good a role model as Paris Hilton, Brittaney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Lindsay Lohan, and Michael Vick. Do you think Paula Abdul trying to speak in either a drug or alchohol induced stupor is a role model for children? The fact is Kelly Clarkson should do the theme song for American Idol. It would be titled "This Show Sucks". Maybe Randy Jackson could cowrite the song with her. It would then be titled "Yo Dawg This Show Sucks".
If you recall your Mother would not allow any of you girls to watch MTV even when you were teenagers. She didn't see Prince, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, Blondie, and Madonna as role mdels for you kids. She didn't think it was appropriate for you to be watching some of the stuff that was on that channel.
In closing why would you expect to find a role model on a show whose theme this week was the music of Michael Jackson? If memory serves Michael Jackson was born a black male, but is now white with feminine charecteristics and appearance as well as having a purported immoral obsession with young boys. His music of course is evidentially suited for young children. Have you listened to the lyrics of Billie Jean or Dirty Diana? Maybe you could play a Michael Jackson video for Mary. She could then grab her crotch when she says sucks.

Maybe Aunties should think about little boys who pronounce their "t"'s like "f"s before they teach them the song Where is Thumbkin? See, happens with the best intentions! M

It is still not as bad as the Biggest Loser who somehow think every other word on the show needs to be the "f" word!! I am so annoyed!!
