OK I have to say it Lisa had a great idea about using the dual mode of JPG and RAW on my camera you totally can see how much the RAW format keeps that the JPG does away with. The picture of Courtney was pretty much unusable in the jpg format but with a little tweaking in RAW it was the Saturday picture of the day! I am convinced now definitely the way to go. I will probably continue to shoot in both for a little while but will be converting to RAW quickly. The three classes are going well I am pretty much done with the photo editing. I think I will take it easy in the Digital Scrapbook class this week I am not really interested in making an annual that spans a year – hello I have been doing that since 1984! So that just leaves the photography class I am learning a lot in all of them really just enough to be dangerous and realize I need some new software, a new memory card etc.
Dad asked about Courtney – all is well with her, nothing really new except for that trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life thing. She starts Spring Break this week I am hoping that means the upstairs will get painted so we can get new carpet. We still do not have everything put back together from the toilet overflowing just before Christmas. Before anyone starts with “oh poor Courtney has to paint over Spring Break” I am going to remind all of you when I had Spring Break we never went anywhere and spent the week getting ready for all the dog show people to come to the house. So yes a work week for me as well. Also Courtney is the one who flooded the house!

OK I have come up with 82 responses to the spring break, oh poor me, and it was Courtney's fault paragraph. Since my last two blog comments I am now on Top Secret double probation by Bobo. This means she gets to censor all my comments.
After spending over an hour typing 27 paragraphs of answer to todays blog, the Supreme Bobo redlined, and cut all but one sentence. Here it is.
Courtney deserves a fun Spring Break away from home.
Yeah so do I!
Well now you've done it. Your Mom agrees you deserve a Spring Break for working and being a Mother, and so does she. She is packing her bags, and has informed me that she will see me in 44 weeks. I hope your happy.
I believe we spent several Spring Break's going to Chicago to see the Grandparents. Driving across Nebraska & Iowa to Illinois was quite an education. I think I can name every mile marker # where there is a rest stop in between here and there. Who needs AZ.or Fl. hot spots when you have cows and corn fields. As far as the continuing saga of the flooded toliet ect., I still contend that it was more of a rocking chair than a toliet. I expect to see Courtney on HGTV the next time I tune in.
First of all I don't blame Mom 44 years is a long time! Second of all Bobo your memory is a little flawed this time. I never remember being in Chicago for less than 3 weeks (how else could Dad tear apart an engine, redo a bathroom etc) so it was always a summer trip. March would not have been a good time of year to make that drive.
Ok, now I must speak!! Courtney does need a little break. I am not shocked that the toilet overflowed. I think I fell off of it three times when I was there! Ellie also pinched her hiney on it. My niece (#1) has not been here in years. She desperately needs some time in Colorado to clear her head and make some life choices. Now doesn't that sound like a plan! Any other Aunties want to chime in...
Love to Courtney from your favorite auntie of the day!

PS. If she brings Mary with her to stay at my house, then you can have a Spring Break too. Now everyone is happy.
I am in on this now. Maybe Courtney would like to go to UNC or Duke (sorry Lucas!), how about Wake Forest? These choices and many more await Ms. Courtney in NC! She can be at the beach in 3 hours, in the mountains in 3 hours and her accent still translates. M
I would like to see the picture of Courtney.
The thing I hate about painting is moving all the stuff to paint. I guess that will also make the carpet a challange. Good luck. Spring break does need some fun time too. If spring break is this week, fly Courtney to Hayden to ski with Lisa, Roger and the kids. She can always come to Phoenix. I bet she has some ideas of her own. :)

OK does it escape all of you Courtney has a JOB? In return for providing room & boaod, clothes, a vechicle to drive (all vechicle expenses, gas insurance, repairs etc), cell phone service, health club membership, medical & dental insurance in addition to a monthly salary she has to take care of the place, right now that is about a four hour a days job (worst case) If she leaves someone else has to do that job and that someone else would be ME. In that I already work about 60 hours a week, commute 15 hours a week not to mention laundry, grocery shopping, paying bills etc (yes I am taking 3 online classes too). I also have a 2 year old that needs my time and attention. I don't have an extra four hours a day right now to feed the horses except in an emergency and Spring Break is not an emergency.
We love you Liz. Hang in there.
