One down!

The wood floor in the living room is done. I think it looks great - we will see what Jim thinks when he gets home. So that is one room done. I have serious doubts whether the family room will be done. We are still stuck on the fireplace issue. Mary is having ear tube surgery and maybe her adenoids removed on October 1 so I will need to be home with her and need her routine to be as stable as possible – i.e. no construction, dust or noise! So that leaves this coming week or the week of October 8th and that is cutting it a little close since everyone is going to be here on October 12th.

I really need to get her birthday invitations done. I am still trying to decide on a time, I will serve food etc so I am thinking 4:00 so that people can eat an early dinner but I wonder if that is too late?

they look VERY nice!!! You are going to love the floors so easy to keep clean...buy one of those old fashioned dust mops like grandma had for under the furniture!!! They work so well. And there is also something to be said about shaking the hell out of it outside...releaves some stress you can picture someone's head a on top of the mop

Uggh- sorry about the tubes and adnoids. Tubes aren't so bad, but tonsils and adnoids cause a bit of pain. On the upside, my daughter who had all of the above removed hasn't really been sick since age 3. Okay trade off, I believe.
