This probably would have been a good day for Dad to guest host. I think I am going to be accused of whining again, which I am but I feel completely overwhelmed right now!
We have 2 cars that are in the shop. A baby that is having surgery Monday. Courtney is leaving this weekend to see Grandpa D, so we have the horses and dogs to deal with. A birthday party to plan (cake, seating and food are my biggest worries right now) Daycare is closed Monday the 8th for "teacher inservice" (seriously its a daycare) so I guess I will be taking a vacation day. The end of the month is coming so I need to do Jim's billing this weekend. My dining room still has dishes all over the table that need to go in the china cabinet - unfortunately Mary wants to help me put them away so not much is getting done there. I really need a pedicure, eyebrows waxed, my roots touched up and a magic pill that will help me lose 30 pounds before I have to be photographed with the "skinny sisters". Most importantly I need time to figure out how to use my new camera!!
Lisa you are right why don't you start your own blog so I can read yours and realize things aren't as hectic as I think they are.

Well, I could start a blog, but then everyone would know how disfunctional we are. As it is right now they only know how disfunctional ya'll are!
Just take comfort in the fact that I have cried 2 out the last 3 days for one reason or another and the day is still young so we can still go for 3 out 4.
I think it is safe to say we all have times in our lives that are more hectic and crazier than others. So remember the saying "Don't sweat the small stuff." If we show up over there and there are no place cards telling us where to sit or we have to pull up a piece of the floor...the world will not end. We will still love you. Mary will still turn one and we will only talk about how unorganized you are for a few weeks afterwards (to make us feel better about our own short falls) and then you will post something else and we will all be right back to teasing you about whining again. It is what we do..it is called being a family!
So deal with it!
Love ya! Lisa
P.S. Because you are family, all the wonderful free advice I give you in these comments is free of charge!
I can only cure one of your problems. Don't stand next to your sisters. Stand next to me and you'll look anorexic.
There is an old Italian saying. There's only one way to eat an elephant. One bite at a time.
Take it one step at a time. Most of us won't care if your dyed, washed, and waxed. Have the party at Chuckee Cheese,s or better yet Gilley's and stop stressing.
We are coming to see You, Jim, Courtney, and Mary not your dishes or anything else in your house. That does not mean I won't give you shit about the condition of your house. I have to whine too.
Teacher's inservice for daycare? Really? Sounds like you've got a lot on your plate. Gather your inner troops; the week will pass.
