Ho ho ho

We are going to take Mary to see Santa this weekend. I see the potential for so much to go wrong:

  1. She will lose her patience (the impatient gene x 2) standing in line
  2. She will be scared of the old guy with the beard
  3. We are going to end up with a picture of Mary crying or I will have to be sitting on Santa's lap too - not exactly the picture I had in mind.

I need to get serious about Christmas shopping as usual I am wracking my brain trying to figure out what to get everyone. I have had some great ideas in the past (like the red Kitchen Aid mixer for Melba & Ed) but they are few and far between.

I have no idea what to tell Jim when he asks me what I want. I thought about letting him buy me new earrings (every year he asks "do you want jewelry") but it seems like such a waste there isn't anything wrong with the ones I have now. I thought about getting a new watch but then again I hate wearing watches the one he bought me in 1992 would probably still work I just don't wear it. Maybe I should just ask him for a gun safe and make him happy!

p.s. Dad do you think the writer's strike applies to you or have you realized how boring my life is and have nothing to say?

Yes the writers strike does apply to me. Actually I have had a really busy week and have not had time to reply. I have decided to wait until after the big Missouri game tonight to reply so that I can include that along with Mary being drafted into the Day Care Armed Forces. She's either in the Day Care Military or the Day Care Jail. Why else would she be wearing a uniform? Does she get her own rifle or a set of handcuffs for Christmas?

So Dad what were you going to say about the game??

Amen. Anyone else want to talk a little more about the uniforms. I still shocked and amazed!
